This is YOUR community building – a vibrant, friendly space to meet and make new friends. There are all sorts of activities and events run for all ages as well as the opportunity to hire generous spaces to do things yourselves.
The building is managed by volunteers – we are a very friendly bunch and always looking for new people to join us!

Line Dancing

Yeehah! It’s get your dancing boots again time!! Our popular line dancing class is fun and all proceeds support our village hall.
At only £3 per person, there’s no better way to enjoy yourself and get a little fitter at the same time.

Friends of the Hall
We need you!
We have a fabulous group of friends who get as involved as they choose with the hall day to to day. Whether it’s baking for the coffee mornings, opening and closing, managing the book/jigsaw/DVD donations, general DIY or simply support at our fundraising events – there is something for everyone to join in!

Big Morning out!
Saturday 30th May
Breakfast available from 9am; stalls from 10am-2pm
Two of everyone’s favourite things combined in a fabulous fundraiser for the hall!!
A hearty cooked breakfast followed by a mooch among our stalls – tasty cakes, a plethora of goods on the charity table top shop and plants to make every garden look stunning.
Why not pop over? Breakfast will be on the go until the end! Get that bargain and a lie in to boot…

Spring sees our days warming and the blue skies return. Our Library room and Viridor suite remain open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm for anyone to drop in. Facilities are available to make hot drinks and microwave food. Free Wifi, books and puzzles…

Our post office service is now open.

Knighton Friendship Group
Second and Fourth Tuesday of the month
2pm to 4pm
All are welcome to join this friendly group – very low subs and always plenty of chatter. 2-4pm upstairs in the main hall.
The group meets on 26th May for everyone’s favourite – the cream tea – yummy!
On June 9th Elly Ratcliffe, the clerk from Hennock Parish Council is visiting to chat – find out how the wheels turn to keep our village in tip top condition.
Don’t forget that the Post Office is also open on this day too.
Community Coffee Morning
Friday 19th June

This month’s coffee morning is to support the Barn Owl Trust.
The cake table at our hall promises to deliver tasty treats from our home bakers – why not bring a box and buy to take away too? Come along and join this happy vibe – all in a great cause! 🙂

Happy Feet with Katrina
First and third Wednesdays of the month.
Our friendly village footcare specialist now runs a clinic in the Village Hall Garden room on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. If you are interested in booking in to see Katrina then please contact her on 07754 692018 for more details.
“All about photography”
Join local photographer Robin Chamberlain for a unique evening on Monday 1st June
6.30-8.30pm
£4 entry
Look and learn through the eye of a photographer. This event is suitable for anyone interested in photography. From novice to expert, there is always something to learn. Gain tips and knowledge from this talented local artist.

Craft Group

This group will now meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Bring along a project you’ve already started maybe? Come along and be inspired to start one?
Cost £3 includes tea and biscuits and simply helps to cover the costs of the room hire.
Walking Group
Wednesday 10th June
Meet Susie at 10am outside the Village Hall
Maybe you walk around the village and would like to venture a little further with company? Perhaps share your favourite walk?
The walks are approximately 3 miles and take 1-1.5 hours.

Calling all green fingered volunteers!
The Spring calls and soon the days will lengthen and the sun shine strengthen to warm our faces.
We are always looking for people to help maintain the hall garden – maybe take ownership of a small patch to cultivate and nurture? Make some new friends while you are there 🙂

Snooker
We are very lucky to have one of the few full size snooker tables in our area. This can be booked for play for only £5 per hour. The room has recently been upgraded and redecorated so come along and take a look at the new and improved place to play and practice 🙂
All bookings must be by prior arrangement as the snooker room remains locked when not in use.
